Capturing the journey from Guadalajara to Flint Hill!

“Buenos Días, Guadalajara”

This 38”x48” painting, titled “Buenos Días, Guadalajara,” pays homage to the roots of Fiesta Hill’s owner, Manuel Gomez Morones. Representing his family’s home in Guadalajara, Manuel is depicted as the blue macaw perched atop the iconic Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady. The two larger birds symbolize his parents, whose love and guidance have shaped their family’s journey. The four smaller birds represent his two brothers and two sisters, each finding their place in this colorful celebration of heritage and family unity.

“BuenAs Tardes, San Luis Misuri”

"Buenas Tardes, San Luis Misuri" captures the next chapter of the journey, set against the iconic backdrop of the Gateway Arch and the Missouri State Capitol. Our Blue Macaw, shows his move to St. Louis, where he began his own family. His two children are represented by a colorful elephant and giraffe, while his nieces and nephews come to life as a panda and a lion. The painting tells a whimsical story of the macaw unlocking these animals from the St. Louis Zoo. They run loose through St. Louis landmarks like Busch Stadium and Enterprise Center add a touch of local pride to this vibrant narrative of new beginnings and familial bonds.

“Buenas Noches, Misuri”

This painting marks a new chapter in Manuel Gomez Morones' journey, now firmly rooted in Flint Hill, Missouri. The Blue Macaw, perched atop Fiesta Hill with his wings folded, symbolizes his settled and peaceful presence in the town.

His children, depicted as an elephant and giraffe, stand beside him, reflecting the continuation of his family’s legacy. A chameleon, representing the artist, looks out towards St. Theodore School and Church, blending her personal history and connection with this family.

Below them, a lively fiesta unfolds, bringing together the vibrant energy of Flint Hill as the community. It is a fusion of tradition and new beginnings that defines this town.
